Over 65,000 members of the public voted and help get us shortlisted for the Charity Film Awards Finals and we are thrilled to announce we won a Silver Award for our film; Ending Blindness in Bihar.
Simon Burton, Co-Founder of the Charity Film Awards said;
“Congratulations Savitri Trust for winning Silver at this year’s Charity Film Awards. Their film, described by one of our judges as ‘incredible content’, was chosen not only by our expert panel of judges but also by the public and to have won silver is an incredible achievement!”
We are pleased to announce that for the second year, Savitri have committed to sponsor a Whitley Award. This year our recipient is Olivier Nsengimana, a vet who now heads up the Rwanda Wildlife Conservation Association and with this award, will scale up his efforts to protect the endangered grey crowned crane in Rwanda.
The Marathon du Medoc – 26 miles of madness, fancy dress and wine tasting… all in the name of charity!
Unlike most marathons, Medoc offers runners a different type of refreshment to keep them going – 23 wine stops and ‘snacks’ including oysters, cheese and steak. Jogging alongside the vineyards of Bordeaux in fancy dress theme, it’s certainly a sight to behold!
